At WeTech—launched in 2018, we believe in access and providing that to our communities. We are driving women into tech spaces through networks, programs, and community building. We've seen that students were never the focal point and that women accounted for an average of less than 20%. We're here and we've decided to change that.

How we work

Network

We intersect our community with industry, academia, and students via our conferences

Programs

We share run programs and workshops to give our community access to resouces

Community

We believe in a support system to aid our growth

Technology

Technology is built best when you have a diverse team. We're a community filled with builders of several backgrounds.

Our Voices

“How much are people in leadership fighting for women in the tech space? Is there a quota for female headcount? Insist on female engineers"

— Folakemi Falodun, General Manager, Online & Mobile, Paga

“We need to do more on policing the gender pay gap"

— Odunayo Eweniyi, COO & Co-Founder PiggyVest

“Remote working options for women in Tech would give women the flexibility to work at the levels they want to"

— Ire Aderinokun, Co-Founder & VP Engineering, Buycoins

“So much growth happens over the course of four years in university education. It is much better for young women to have internship opportunities to open them to real-world experiences so that after graduation, they are skilled. It is super hard to be a self-taught developer or engineer"

— Gabriella Uwadiegwu, Founder, WeTech
