Wetech 2023

We're hosting our inaugural female founders conference. Founders and investors get connected, hire talent, and get funded.

Our speakers range from women who have raise institutional capital, venture investors, emerging founders and tech leaders.​

Female founders will pitch their startups. Investors will judge and choose the winner of a grand prize, and award them with other startup benefits from our partners.

Miishe Addy is co-Founder and CEO of Jetstream Africa, an e-logistics company headquartered in Tema, Ghana. A leading player in African e-logistics for importers and exporters, Jetstream leverages human expertise and proprietary technology to accelerate the movement of capital and goods across borders in Africa. Miishe started her career as a top-ranked strategy analyst for Bain & Company in New York, practiced transactional law at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and has consulted global development organizations, including TechnoServe and Global Partnerships.

 

Winner of the London Business School Accel Award for African startups, Addy has been recognized by the Project Management Institute as one of the top 50 next-generation project managers globally, and by Forbes Woman Africa as a New Wealth Creator. Miishe earned an honors BA in Philosophy from Harvard College, and a JD from Stanford Law School. She lives in Accra, Ghana.

Tosin Faniro-Dada is an ecosystem builder and investor serving pioneering tech founders across Africa. Tosin has dedicated her career to helping founders scale and create societal & behavioral change. She took on the inaugural role of Executive of Lagos Innovates, an incubator powered by LSETF aimed at propelling more than 200 tech startups in Lagos state. Her leadership unlocked avenues to essential resources such as infrastructure, financing, talent, education, and networks. She subsequently joined Endeavor Nigeria as Managing Director & CEO, igniting the growth of Nigeria’s most notable tech scaleups.

 

Now a Partner at Breega, one of the fastest-growing early-stage VC funds in Europe and Africa, Tosin deploys capital and scaling opportunities to help tech founders solve significant economic and social challenges.

Dolapo Morgan

Dolapo Morgan is an Investor at Ventures Platform Fund, an early-stage African VC with investments in Paystack, Piggyvest, Omnibiz, Remedial Health, Fluna, Traction Apps, etc. She is responsible for driving the investment process end-to-end including functions such as Deal Sourcing, Due Diligence, Transaction Structuring, and Portfolio Management. She currently serves on the Board for Termii and as a Board Observer for SunFi. She is also a Mentor at Google for Startups.

 

She was a Strategy Consultant for Accenture and Bain working on projects across multiple countries in the Middle East and Africa. She has supported multiple government ministries and the largest multinational corporations across Energy, Finance, Agriculture, Consumer goods, Telecommunications and Mining. Her work spanned across Strategy, Cost and revenue Optimization, Market Assessment and Entry Strategy. She gained a First Class Degree in Information Management for Business from University College London.

Nissi Madu

Nissi is Managing Partner at CcHUB leading its Startup Support and EdTech portfolio. Prior to this she was the Head of Learning Sciences at Co-Creation HUB, she has championed the set-up and strategic focus of the unit that supports the edtech startups in the Mastercard Foundation Edtech Fellowship Programme to build products that deliver improved learning outcomes to learners in alignment with CcHUB’s unabated focus on transforming education on the continent.

 

Prior to joining Co-Creation Hub,  Nissi worked with LEAP Africa, as Programme Coordinator for eLearning. During this period, She co-designed the MasterCard Foundation Transformative Leadership Programme aimed at supporting teacher mentors in the Scholars Programme to help the scholars build leadership and life skills.  She successfully led the development of content, product and service offerings around LEAP’s core themes for dissemination through e-learning and technology channels and spearheaded the distribution of LEAP Africa’s premier e-learning course on ethics across multiple sectors.

 

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Babcock University, Nigeria and a fellow at the British Council New Narratives Programme and The US Consulate Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative.
